These terms describe how PrepHike works with you: what the service is, what is free, when something is paid, and how either side can end your use of it. By signing in to the application, you agree to these terms.
01The service
PrepHike is an interview preparation product for software engineers. It runs at app.prephike.com and needs an account. It tracks the applications and interview rounds you are in, reads the account you write after each round into findings quoted from your own words, collects those findings into a record of the competencies your rounds have evidenced, reads a job description against that record, and runs voice rehearsals. This website describes the product and does not process any document.
02What we are not
- We are not a placement agency. We do not contact companies on your behalf.
- We are not a course or a recorded-content platform.
- We do not guarantee a job. Hiring freezes, market conditions, and your performance on the day are outside our control.
03Who this is for
Software engineers in India who are interviewing. Using the service needs an account, and an account needs an email address, and you must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf.
04What a new account gets
- A new account starts with an allowance that costs nothing and needs no card. It is enough to have three interview debriefs read, one job description read, and one voice mock run.
- Tracking applications and rounds, writing debriefs, keeping notes and recording outcomes are not metered and are not charged for.
- Every finding the service returns quotes a span from a document you supplied. Anything that cannot be quoted from your own words is discarded before it is shown to you.
- Nothing here is a certified assessment, and nothing simulates any particular applicant tracking system.
05Paid features
- Some features inside the application are paid. Where something is paid, its price and what it covers are shown in the application before you buy, and nothing is charged until you confirm the purchase.
- No price is quoted on this website, and nobody at PrepHike will ask you to pay outside the application.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. Keep your transaction record.
- Fees for work already delivered are not refunded.
06Your account and your documents
You can export or delete your account and the documents in it from inside the application at any time. If you go quiet for 14 or more consecutive days without notice during a paid engagement, that engagement closes, and fees paid for work already delivered are not refunded. Either side may end the engagement with written notice.
07Outcomes
We are accountable for the quality of what we deliver: the findings, the score, and the preparation material in the application. We are not accountable for outcomes driven by factors outside our scope, such as whether a recruiter responds, hiring freezes, interview panel bias, or whether you act on what you are shown. Past results are no guarantee of future outcomes.
08Confidentiality
We keep your information private. We do not share your documents, salary, or job search with anyone outside the service. With your written permission, we may share an anonymized outcome (for example, a salary jump without your name or employer) as a reference.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. The terms that apply to you are the ones in force when you use the service.
